The "dumplings" here are like fat layered blintzes that can be sweet or savory. This one was filled with sweetened cottage cheese, served warm.

Schnapps made from quince. We were served this before after our meal; a hospitality thing our (nutty) waiter told us. It was good and not akin to any Jägermeister experience in college.
